DMI Live Internship Track
The DMI Live Internship Track is the final and most serious stage of DevOps Micro Internship.
This is an invite-only, 5-month live engineering track... for selected learners who have already completed the prerequisite DMI work.
And we mean invite-only: selection has gotten more rigorous every cohort, on purpose. Cohort 3 alone saw 1,421 people register — only 182 made it through the graded assignment and interview to join.
In this track, we do not teach basic theory again. The focus is on assignments, projects, production-style EKS, Helm, ArgoCD, GitOps, observability, DevSecOps, troubleshooting, and real environment support.
The goal is simple but serious: prepare learners to work like real DevOps engineers from day one.
You will build, debug, review, present, improve, and support real production-style systems with mentor guidance and cohort accountability.

In this video, we break down everything you need to know before joining the program from its structure, expectations, and community.
This orientation is a must-watch if you’re applying or preparing to join Cohort.
Selection By The Numbers
DMI Cohort 1 — 6% Accepted
1,680 applied. Only 100 selected.
DMI Cohort 2 — 27% Accepted
988 registered. We deliberately capped it at 271 — before demand outgrew our support system.
DMI Cohort 3 — 13% Accepted
1,421 registered. Only 309 completed the graded assignment. Just 182 made it through the interview.

This Track Is Invite-Only
This Track Is Invite-Only
Not open for direct enrollment
Prerequisite DMI work required
Certificate + GitHub proof required
Only selected students are invited
This keeps the live cohort focused on serious learners who are ready for real production-style DevOps work.
Who Can Apply?
Completed DMI Live Prerequisite
You must complete the DMI Foundation Track — certificate plus the required first-section assignment. Already in the Self-Paced Engineer Track instead? You'll need to complete all videos, all hands-on work, and the Section 3 assignment before applying for the Live Track.
Certificate + First Assignment
Submit your DMI Foundation Track completion certificate and the GitHub link to your first-section assignment through the application form. This is what gets reviewed before you're invited to interview.
Ready for Real Engineering Work
You'll work on real production-style systems — EKS, Helm, ArgoCD, GitOps, troubleshooting, live environment support — not toy projects or tutorials.
Serious Time Commitment
Expect weekly assignments, live Saturday sessions, and Monday–Thursday evening support — real internship hours, not a self-paced schedule you can pause when busy.
How Selection Works
The Live Track has a simple selection process:
1. Complete the prerequisite DMI track
2. Submit your certificate and GitHub assignment URL
3. Your work will be reviewed
4. Shortlisted learners will be invited for a short interview
5. Selected learners will receive the payment and onboarding link
6. Live cohort access will be granted after acceptance
This process helps us maintain the quality of the live cohort and ensure that every student is ready for serious engineering work.
What We Do in the Live Track
The Live Track is focused on execution.
You will not spend time passively watching theory. You will work on real production-style DevOps assignments and projects.
The focus areas include:
- Production EKS cluster operations
- Helm, ArgoCD, and GitOps delivery
- GitHub Actions and CI workflows
- Observability with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and tracing
- DevSecOps and supply-chain security
- Terraform-based infrastructure workflows
- Agentic AI-assisted DevOps delivery
- Production-style troubleshooting and support
This is where DMI moves from learning DevOps to working like a DevOps engineer.
Ready to Start?

Frequently Asked Questions
-
The Live Track is focused on real engineering work, not basic theory.
To maintain the quality of the cohort, we only invite students who have already shown that they can complete assignments, use GitHub, follow instructions, and work seriously.
This helps us keep the live sessions focused on projects, production-style environments, debugging, and real DevOps workflows.
Here's how that's played out in practice: Selection has gotten more rigorous every cohort, on purpose. Cohort 1: 1,680 applied, 100 selected. Cohort 2: 988 registered, 271 selected — we hard-capped it there deliberately, even below demand, because we wanted the co-mentor support system in place first before scaling. Cohort 3: 1,421 registered, but this time we added a graded-assignment gate before the interview — only 309 even completed the assignment, and just 182 made it through. We keep raising the bar.
